That’s a wrap for the 2018 OCTT!

No matter what day you made it to the scales, you definitely saw some incredible scale action out of the Ocean City Fishing Center. We saw an abundance of Yellowfin’s, Dolphin’s, and a single Bluefin tuna that won the Playmate some serious cash ($328,960.00, to be exact). This tournament paid out over $857,000 to it’s participants, meaning plenty of anglers went home with huge smiles on their faces. The forecast left more to be desired, but it did not stop the fleet from heading out in search of the trophy tuna. The Goin’ In Deep rose to first place Stringer on the second day of the tournament with a 325lb total stringer weight. The ‘Marli’ almost took that place, but fell short with one tuna just shy of the minimum weight and making their total 314 lbs. If that fish had qualified, they would have beat the Goin’ In Deep crew by a nose. This all makes for a fun and exciting tournament, and we saw plenty of smiles and laughs as these crews weighed in their catches.

The next big tournament to come our way is the Big Fish Classic, which is held at Talbot St. Pier (MR Ducks) from July 27-29th. Check out more information at their website.
